I currently accept the following insurance plans: Aetna and Optum/UnitedHealthcare. If you're unsure about your coverage or how to get started, I’m happy to help guide you through the process.

Therapy Sessions: In-Person & Telehealth Options

I offer both in-person and virtual therapy sessions for adults 18+. In-person sessions are available in the Santa Clarita, CA area, though please note there is currently a waitlist for these appointments.

Due to licensing regulations, Mariel Ross is only able to provide therapy services within California. Telehealth therapy services are available for clients who reside within California state.

Individual Therapy

Therapy is a space where you get to pause, reflect, and reconnect with yourself. I work with adults navigating life transitions, stress, relationship challenges, or patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you're dealing with anxiety, burnout, or just a sense that something feels off, we’ll work together to uncover the root and create space for real change.

Sessions may include:

  • Insight-oriented conversation

  • Mind-body connection practices

  • Coping tools to support nervous system regulation

Who I Work With

I specialize in supporting individuals who may look “put together” on the outside but are struggling internally. Many of my clients identify with one or more of the following:

  • First-Gen or Adult Professionals managing cultural and family expectations

  • High-achievers navigating burnout, anxiety, or imposter syndrome

  • Adults healing from childhood trauma, emotionally unavailable parents, or chronic stress

  • Working parents trying to do it all — juggling careers, caregiving, and the pressure to be “on” all the time, often at the expense of their own well-being

Specialties

  • Brainspotting therapy goes even deeper into the body’s wisdom. Using your eye position as a guide, we locate the “brainspot” where trauma is held, and we stay with that point while gently tracking your body’s responses. It’s less structured than EMDR and often creates space for profound somatic release and insight—without having to over-explain or relive your story.

  • EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) helps process and rewire trauma responses stored in the brain and body. It’s especially effective for people who’ve experienced anxiety, PTSD, or painful memories that still feel “too close.” We use gentle bilateral stimulation (like eye movements, sound or tapping) to support your brain’s natural healing process.

  • Attachment-Based Therapy will allow you to explore how early relationships shape how you view yourself, how safe you feel with others, and how you respond to emotional closeness or distance. In our work together, we’ll explore those patterns—not to blame the past, but to understand how it still shows up in your present. Whether you find yourself pulling away, feeling too much, or craving connection but not trusting it, we’ll gently untangle those experiences and build new ways of relating—to others and to yourself.
